Drawing in the sand....
on San Clemente beach!
Well, this week has been a whirlwind of activities and festivities for me. First, I met over 30 of my mom's cousins, great aunts, etc. at the annual Baker family Christmas party. I was a hit of course! Then, we were off to San Clemente to my Nanie and Papa Neal's beach house to spend a relaxing day and enjoy some time with my dad's side of the family. I really enjoyed playing with my cousin Dawn-Marie and playing in the sand. Next, we drove to my Papa Jeddi's and Oma's house for a Christmas Eve celebration with my Uncle Derek and soon to be Aunt Jen. I even got a new party dress for the occasion (thanks Jeddi and Oma)! My favorite part of the evening was watching Rex the dog wiggle around in his Santa costume!!! On Christmas morning I awoke to smells of coffee and my Ya-Ya's infamous Christmas Delight Breakfast Rolls. Mommy and daddy took me downstairs and I got to open my presents from Santa...a drum and maraca set, giraffe print baby legs, and 2 new hair clips!!! That afternoon my cousins Kate and Neal came over, followed by the rest of our immediate family. I decided today would be the perfect day to take my first step...I have only taken a few more steps since! My first Christmas was very special- I was able to meet many new family members and spend time with those I already know and love. Mommy, daddy, and I were a little sad because we lost our pup but I tried to keep them busy and full of joy by just being me! Now we are in Carmel, California with my mommy's family staying at the Lodge at Pebble Beach. It is so beautiful here but a little chillier than Texas. Today we took a family picture...I tried to put on a happy face but it was a little challenging considering it was my nap time! We are enjoying this quality time with our family- 4 generations of family are here together. What a treat!
