one in California and one here in our
hometown of Austin. Mommy thought it would be a

Mommy's Thought For Thursday: A Hometown Stroll Through The Park...

Our little family traveled to my hometown, Redlands, California to celebrate Magnolia's first birthday. We spent the week catching up with family and two of my dearest friends J and A...
We truly enjoyed the cooler weather, too! I was able to get out and take the girls to the park and on long walks without overheating! I surprised myself with this stroll through Prospect Park~ it was beautiful! I didn't remember it looking this way. And how fun it was to explore with my little gals. This hometown stroll gave me something to look forward to repeating each time I visit!

{The Magnolia Cupcake Series}...

It all began with one vanilla cupcake from Billy's in San Clemente~ The same place we got my first birthday cupcake from. It's tradition!































Maggie Moo LOVED her cupcake! It was so much fun watching her dig in. She truly put on a cupcake show for us! We just adore this Magnolia cupcake. She is so yummy!

Yesterday was Magpie's first birthday party in California.
Our California family came together at Ya and Papa's to celebrate.
It was quite the vintage fête!

Birthday Beach Day Was A Bust...

Well, we had great intentions. We headed out this morning for San Clemente to spend Maggs' birthday at the beach. After an hour in the car and a bathroom and milk stop at Barnes And Noble, we were still miles away. We decided sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the 91 and 5 freeways was NOT the way to celebrate a first birthday. Plan B~ turn around, head back to Redlands, and grab some Baker's for lunch...

P.s. This is one of the reasons mommy and daddy said they left California~ the TRAFFIC!!!

Birthday, Beads, And Barbie Bandaids...

Today is Maggie's birthday! We started the morning with a breakfast from Starbucks. M decided to celebrate with putting on a pair of mommy's vintage beads, and playing with a box of my Barbie Bandaids! We will continue to blog today to chronicle sissy's FIRST birthday...
