Our fam at the birthday party...
1. Wow! I haven't blogged in a long time.
Life is so busy...work, kiddos sick {P had pneumonia this week
and M has a yucky cold} and honestly I really haven't been motivated to blog.
2. I decided to post SIX pics from Paisley's Austin
Children's Museum 3rd birthday party last February.
I can't believe it's been a YEAR.
I started not feeling well
that week. It was a scary time for me.
I think that's why I never posted about
her party. It should be a happy event,
a celebration...not a time
for mommy to be freaking out about her health.
But I was.
3. Yup. I have had a wild year. Probably the lowest time in my
adult life last February. It all started with dizziness. Then the tingling.
Then the burning sensation.
It wouldn't go away. I started researching what I had
because no one seemed to know what it was.
MRI clean. Blood work clean {except for the high iron-
I am a genetic carrier for hemochromotosis...thanks dad!!!}
I was convinced I had MS or something worse. I was dying.
Whoa! Sounds crazy...but mix in a little postpartum anxiety, a few
panic attacks {In Mexico} and I was a mess. Truly.
4. Oh, how grateful am I for:
a diagnosis {I have Restless Leg Syndrome!}
an amazing neurologist and therapist
a rock of a hubby
supportive family and friends
mommy friends who have shared
their stories and experiences
honesty
living in truth
5. This year is different...
I am in my right place.
I am still type a, but I have loosened up
and finally accepted that I am who I am
but with RLS...I have a pretty active version so
I will stay on my dopamine for now and hope that
I won't get any crazy ideas to go to Vegas and gamble all
my moola away!!!
6. Woohoo! I am FREE of my meds that helped with my
postpartum anxiety. My dear friend Lex {a pro}.
She was wonderful. She calmed me down.
Helped me gain perspective. But she also dulled me.
I was a bit flat. I was ready to come back...
Still detoxing but doing really well and can't wait to celebrate my
Paisley's 4th birthday. We are planning a FAIRY party!
I am even going to dress up! Seriously, I am!!!
Life is a gift. I definitely have perspective on that...
